Hi, I’m Garrett. I design and craft products and visual experiences based on a deep understanding of customer needs.

I'm a freelance designer and director specializing in branding and UI design with over a decade of real world experience. Currently located in Michigan, I work with clients, brands and startups across brand identity, digital, print and art direction. While my aesthetic is minimalist and playful, I can adapt to any pre-existing design style. I can work independently from home or as part of a team.

If you have a project in mind or need some freelance help for your team, feel free to get in touch.

Calculated creative risks.

I believe that in marketing, you can’t please everyone, or you’ll attract no one. You need to take calculated creative risks that appeal to a specific target audience and deliver on that idea to build trust with your customers and build a community around your brand. I work hard to establish a bold and daring campaign using the skills I have developed over many years that will give you a competitive edge against others in your industry.

Get to know me.

Most people just call me “G”.

I started my career at age 16.

My journey is a little different than most. I started my career very young, and jumped directly into the professional world of design at the age of 16. Prior to that I had spent as early as I can remember drawing cereal box cartoons before school, learning to paint from my artistic mother, and excelling in art class every chance I got. Even as a young kid, I always knew I was going to make a career out of being an artist. So much, In fact, that when I was in 3rd grade I wrote my “what do you want to be when you grow up” class project on being a graphic designer.

As I got older, I ventured into digital arts and began teaching myself the design programs I would need to know to make a career out of my lifelong love for design. Fast forward a more than a decade and through a whole lot of ass-busting, I can proudly call myself a Professional Graphic Designer, always eager for a new opportunity to learn and grow as an artist.

I’m a color blind designer.

Yes, you read that right, I am a color blind designer. at a very young age I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer but always struggled seeing colors correctly. I worked hard to better my skillset and study color theory and psychology of color and can proudly say today you wouldn’t even know if I didn’t tell you. There is a niche group of color blind designers out there and we offer a valuable perspective on design since roughly 10% of the world’s population has some form of color blindness and the ability to see colors decreases over the years. This means you need to design with nice bold, strong, and contrasting colors so all can enjoy you brand equally.
